Lorene Alasca Owens-Smith
February 28, 1924 - February 10, 2019
Lorene Alasca Owen Smith, 94, of Muskogee, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah. She was born February 28, 1924 in Walters, Oklahoma to Willie and Pearl (Clark) Williams.
Lorene always liked to play games. She taught a lot of children including her grandchildren to play Wahoo and later she mastered Mario Bros. Anyone that came to her home was offered a meal. Lorene would always have her Bible sitting beside her chair and she would quote scripture to her grandchildren. She was the best grandma ever.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouses, Vernon Owen and Kelly Smith; sister, Mae Ella Montague and step-grandsons, Derek and Jarrod Tanton.
Lorene is survived by her two children and their spouses, Scott and Teretta Owen and Debra and Morris Tanton; grandchildren, Jason Jones, Jennifer Zardeneta, Lori Horton, Daniel Owen, Luke Owen, Sarah Owen and Taylor Freeman and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Fosters' Ivory Chapel.

Our loss is heavens gain. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was loved by so many. She will be missed.
