Lloyd R. Webster

Events

Lloyd R. Webster, 90, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019. He was born on June 18, 1929 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Richard Marion Webster and Gena Hester (Potter) Webster. On February 10, 1950 Lloyd married the love of his life Ina (Goodart) Webster. They spent over 69 memorable years together.
He worked at Container Corp for about 28 years before resigning and establishing Oklahoma Interpak with a partner of his. He was a charter member of Fairview Baptist Church. Lloyd and his wife were members of Boston Avenue Baptist Church before Lloyd's mother (Gena) saw the need for a new church in the community. Thus, Fairview was started in the old Fairview schoolhouse. Lloyd was also a member of "The Rednecks of The Round Table" until his health issues kept him, for the most part, homebound. When he was able to, he loved for his wife to take him on car rides. Lloyd was always proud to say he was raised on a farm east of Summit, Oklahoma and learned to drive a "John Deere" tractor at an early age.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Richard M. Webster and Gena H. Webster; brother, Leon Webster; sister, Louise (Webster) Ganther.
He is survived by his wife, Ina (Goodart) Webster of Muskogee, OK; sons Richard "Rick" Webster and wife Sharon of Leander, TX (daughter Misha Webster), Kenneth "Ken" Webster and wife Diane of Muskogee, OK (son, Cole Webster, daughter Dacia (Webster) Carter and husband Jason), and Thomas Tom Webster and wife Shelly of Muskogee, OK (daughters Kaley Webster and Marissa Higgins and husband Josh); 3 great-grandchildren Trenton Rutherford, Thayson Ray Webster, Camden Barnes; sister, Dorothy Pasey and husband Ward of Coweta, OK; brothers, Dan Webster of Wagoner, OK and David Webster; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of close friends.
A celebration of Lloyd's life will be 10:30am Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bobby Sowers officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Leon Martin, Keith Perceful, Lankford Bivins, Dale Carnell, Stan Strickland, and Audie Strickland serving as Pallbearers.
Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, OK. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.

My condolences to the family. I used to play the piano at Fairview many years ago.

Mr. Webster and Ina were so nice.
