Larry's Story

Larry Tucker of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed from this life on June 17, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Larry was born on January 18, 1942 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Lola Mary and Robert D. Tucker. Larry lived most of his life in the Muskogee area. He attended school in Muskogee and later in Hugo, OK. Throughout his life he worked as a medic, a heavy equipment operator, but was a truck driver for most of his life.
Larry married Beth Pruden on March 20, 1985. Larry and Beth lived in Muskogee where they raised and loved their large blended family.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheila Marie Watts; brother, Robert D. Tucker Jr and wife Joy; sister-in-law, Connie Tucker; and niece, Trudie Tucker Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Pruden Tucker of the home; their children, Debra Lynn Tucker of Rattan, OK, Kristina Louise and husband Darell Olson of Marshfield, WI, Candyce Jo and husband Dwayne Parent of Muskogee,OK, Paul Riley Tucker and wife Amy of Broken Arrow, OK, and Mary Charlene Tucker of Tulsa, OK; Larry has 13 grandchildren, Bill Watts, Spencer Watts and wife Brandi of Silo, OK, Kyle Armstrong and wife Stephanie of Rattan, OK, Tina and husband Colton Sorrells of Rattan, OK, Terra Elizabeth Patrick of Jenks, OK, Raylie Beth and Trinity Marie Clemons, Gina Lee and Brittany Ann Parent all of Muskogee, Levi Addison Watson of Tulsa, OK, Violet Jane Olson of Marshfield, WI, Abigail Marie and Aiden Paul Tucker of Broken Arrow, OK; He has 9 great grandchildren; Larry is also survived by his brother, David B Tucker of Kellyville, OK; sister, Sally Tucker Dozier and husband Phillip of Muskogee, OK; brother-in-law, Robert Allen Pruden and wife Dolores of Carrollton, Texas; and mother-in-law Charlene Pruden Schoeppel of Muskogee, OK; step-mother, Louise Bear Harjo; and son-in-law, Billy Joe Watts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry will be remembered as an individual who had a great sense of humor. He loved telling jokes and tall tales. He also enjoyed pulling pranks. Larry will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the children's department of St. Paul United Methodist Church 2130 W. Okmulgee Ave Muskogee, OK 74401.
A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday June 24, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. David Burris officiating.
