Ken was born February 9, 1939 at Keota, OK, the son of Norman and Pocahontas "Pokey"(Cooper) Lowe and died Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Tulsa, OK.
Ken graduated from Stigler High School in 1958. He then married his high school sweetheart, Orela, and they made a home in Keefeton. Ken was a member of the Keefeton Free Will Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years. Ken worked at the Muskogee Phoenix "paper office" before deciding to become a plumber. After the death of his first wife, he married Myrna Foreman. With their kids (his and hers) grown, Ken and Myrna enjoyed their time with each other and being very involved with all the grandkids. Whether it is PaPa Buddy or Papa Ken, it's always PaPa!
Ken loved quail and pheasant hunting and spent hours working his bird dogs. He was a big sports fan...football, baseball, but his favorites were OU and Connors State.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna, of the home; children, Rusty Lowe of Kinta, OK and Vicky Lowe of Keefeton, Bobby Foreman and Regan of Warner, Ivan Barger of Warner; sister, Linda Colwell and husband, Darryl of Stigler; brother, Eugene Alford and wife, Thelma, of Keota; grandchildren, Josh Lowe of Kinta, Lensey Holden and husband, Rodney of Kinta, J.C. Lowe of Tahlequah, Chase Lowe of Keefeton, Carson Foreman, Jensyn Foreman, and Jackson Foreman all of Warner; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Jace Holden of Kinta. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Orela (Martin) Lowe; granddaughter, Kensey; sister, Katherine Harmon; brother, Robert "Pug" Lowe; half-brother, James Alford; and parents-in-law, Deward Sr and Eula Martin.
