Katherine's Story

Katherine Poulos Fuller passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016. She was born on August 17, 1921 to Erma Cruzan Poulos and Nicholas Poulos.
Katherine attended Christian College in Missouri and the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member and President of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She married James Fuller, the love of her life on June 21, 1946. They had two children, Nancy and Nick.
Katherine and James were active, life-long members of St. Paul Methodist Church. Katherine designed and worked diligently on the needle point kneelers and parsons' chairs, which continue to grace the sanctuary. She was also a member of Muskogee Garden Club.
Katherine was a fierce lover of her children and her grandchildren and a quintessential homemaker. Her fifty-four years of married life included: world travel, rooting for the sooners and countless delicious dinners around her beautifully set table.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband James. Katherine is survived by son, Nick Fuller and wife Laurie of Muskogee. Daughter Nancy Rowntree and husband John of Edmond. Grandchildren Jimbo Fuller of West Palm Beach, Julian Fuller and wife Katherine of Oklahoma City, Bess Fuller of Denver, CO, Nick Rowntree and wife Vesna of NYC, Paige Woolbright and husband Chad of OKC, and William Rowntree and wife Amy of Annapolis, MD. Great Grandchildren Caroline and Jack Fuller, Hadley Fuller, Vido and Rion Rowntree, Whit Woolbright and Evie James Rowntree.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to St. Paul Methodist Church in Muskogee or the charity of your choice.
A memorial service is planned on Saturday, November 26th at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Methodist Church in Muskogee.
