Judie Ann McCutcheon Byrum was welcomed to the world by her loving parents, Julius and Pearl McCutcheon, on October 12, 1943 in Long Beach, California. She entered God's garden on April 28, 2017.
Judie was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Pearl McCutcheon; and brothers, Jack and Jim McCutcheon.
Judie is survived by her daughter, Melanie Byrum Holder and husband Steve, and grandchildren, Payton, McKenzie, and Landry Holder of Verdigris, OK; son, Mark Byrum, and grandchildren Allie Byrum of Chicago, IL, Hunter and Jacqueline Byrum of Edmond, OK; siblings, brother John McCutcheon and wife Jenny, sister Jane McCutcheon Crownover and husband Jim; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Judie grew up in Muskogee, attending Muskogee Public Schools. She graduated from Central High School in 1961. Judie continued her education at Northeastern State University, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's in Education.
Judie taught many elementary aged children, whom she loved. She taught in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. She retired from Muskogee Public Schools, in 1999. Judie was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. Judie loved spending time with her grandchildren. They enjoyed doing crafts, traveling to the beach, and gardening together. Judie loved to paint and created some gorgeous pieces.
Judie had an extraordinary talent in the garden. Her yard was beautiful with healthy plants and flowers. She enjoyed working to become a proud Master Gardener.
As a teenager, Judie was baptized at First Baptist in Muskogee, where she accepted Christ as her Savior.

A celebration of Judie's life will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 1, 2017 at First Baptist Church Muskogee with Reverend Rex Wilkinson officiating.
