Juanita June Manske, 88, of Muskogee, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. She was born on August 16, 1929 in rural Chaney, Oklahoma, to John and Katherine Manske. As she grew up she was educated in the Woodward, Oklahoma area completing high school there. Juanita finished a secretarial course at Draughon's School of Business in Oklahoma City. After working for several years in Oklahoma City, Pueblo, Colorado and Wichita, Kansas, she settled in Kansas City where she was employed by the Clay County Health Department until her retirement. Then she moved to Muskogee to live with her older sister, Mary Manske.
Juanita never married but enjoyed life with a dedication to her faith and studying the Bible. Travel was a joy for her; Juanita and her sister, Mary, traveled to five continents and 30 countries. Juanita was an active member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Muskogee.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine Manske, and sister, Mary, who came to this country from Russia, and older brother Leonard.
Needless to say, as we well know, Juanita's main focus in life was her service to her creator, Jehovah God.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, at Fosters' Ivory Chapel.
Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
