Homayoun "David"'s Story
Homayoun "David" Hakim Davoud, 60, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away July 22, 2017. He was born August 27, 1956 to Jabon and Fakhri (Khalooha) Hakim Davoud in Tehran, Iran. He graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City and later obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
David worked in furniture sales and management until his retirement. He was the type of guy who could fix or build absolutely anything. David enjoyed wood working and caring for his dogs, cats, and particularly his beloved birds. He would often spend hours on his boat at the lake as he loved being outside and relaxing on the water, listening to the sounds of nature. David was a very giving person and adored sharing the things he treasured as well as showing off the amazing deals he got while out shopping. He loved finding a new item and keeping it until someone needed it just so he could say "I've got that out in the garage". He was a problem solver and always had a solution to everything. He was also an amazing cook and frequently prepared meals to share with his family, whom he loved spending time with. His appreciation for good food and quality time gave his family a bond that can never be replaced or taken away. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, but he wouldn't want you to be sad for him. David was a strong-willed man who always did things his own way on his time. Whether driving well under the speed limit so he could enjoy the scenery or deciding to loudly fix something at 6 am. This is no different. He leaves everyone with great memories, many reasons to laugh and valuable life-long lessons, which is the greatest gift he could've ever given.
David was preceded in death by his father, Jabon Hakim Davoud; brother Hamid Hakim Davoud; uncle, Mohamed Khalooha; and brother-in-law, Toby Cook.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Sabrina Hakim Davoud of Muskogee, OK; daughters Adrienne (Hakim Davoud) Fletcher, husband Ryan and their children, Bryten and Boston Fletcher of Oktaha, Lilli Hakim Davoud of Muskogee, OK; son, Andy Hakim Davoud and fiancée Emily Grant of Muskogee, OK; mother, Fakhri (Khalooha) Hakim Davoud of California; siblings, Amin Hakim Davoud, Shararen O'kain both of California, Mahin Hakim Davoud of Austria; and many nieces and nephews.
