Harry Presson, of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, was born February 27, 1950 in Ft. Smith, AR to Tommie and Martha Presson. He was named after his grandfather Harry Ward. He spent his childhood and young adult life in the Ft. Smith and Van Buren, Arkansas area, and was a graduate of Van Buren High School. After a stint in the U. S. Navy he carried on the family tradition in the Ice Industry, including Ward's Ice, Sportsman's Ice in Arkansas and later Century Ice in Oklahoma. Harry later served as Administrator of Wagoner County Jail. He was a proud proprietor of Presson Trucking. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting and being outdoors. Harry loved barbecuing and chuck wagon cooking, especially with family and friends, it was good times. Harry passed this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Martha Presson and his first wife Carolyn Presson.
Harry is survived by his loving wife Marsha of twenty five years, his daughters, Kimberly Gleissner of Ft. Gibson and Emily Presson and her husband Martin Hayter of Dallas, TX. One sister Patti McCutchen and her husband Glen of Alma, AR, four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kali, Finlay and Isla, who loved their "Bubby". Along with other family members and close friends, and his two four legged companions, "Tiny" and "Roxie".
A life celebration memorial services will be held for Harry will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, OK.
