Frankie's Story

Frankie Lloyd Stroup was born April 17, 1937 in Los Angeles, California to Reamon Taylor and Dovie (White) Stroup. Frankie was employed as a foreman with Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, from which he retired after 42 years. In his later years Frankie liked to stay busy mowing, growing flowers and driving his tractor. His family fondly remembers him as a "workaholic".
Frankie departed this life Thursday evening, April 27, 2017 at Saint Francis Hospital of Muskogee, OK. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Paul Renfro.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Catherine Stroup of Fort Gibson, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Byron Deserisy of Lowell, AR. three grandchildren, including Whitney Stroup of Fort Gipson, OK and Daniel Ward of Springdale, AR; three great-grandchildren, a sister, Virginia Gibson of Ponca City, OK; other relatives and friends.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Frankie Stroup will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.
There will be no viewing.
Private interment will be in Fort Gibson Citizens Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK.
