Oliver also served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska, serving as a corporal with the 96th AAA Gun Battalion. After his discharge, Oliver and Norma settled in McAlester, until about 15 years ago when they moved to Ft. Gibson. Oliver was a 32nd degree Mason with the McAlester Lodge #9. He was also a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church where he had served as deacon for several years. Oliver loved the Lord, his wife, Norma, his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by 1 son, Russell Clark of Tulsa; 1 daughter and son-in-law, LaDawn and Larry Norman of Ft. Gibson; 2 grandsons, Quade Norman and wife Haley of Ft. Gibson, Quinn Norman and wife Paige of Broken Arrow; 2 great-granddaughters, Hadley and Avery Norman of Ft. Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.
