Fonzell Williams

January 30, 1927 - March 07, 2019

Fonzell Williams Fonzell grew up in the Rosedale community near McCurtain, OK. She met her future husband, Eddie Williams, at the age of fourteen. She and Eddie married November 27, 1945 after he returned from serving in World War II. Always active in church she grew up singing and playing guitar in her community church services. After their only daughter was born in 1947 they moved from Quinton, OK, to Muskogee, OK where she was a homemaker and proud mother. She was saved on a Mother's Day and dedicated herself to the Lord, His service and being the best mother she could be. She was a wonderful seamstress sewing all of Ann's dresses until her age of sixteen. After Eddie was saved they ministered together through several churches in the area but loved their home church of Shiloh Baptist Church. Fonzell also worked as secretary and bookkeeper in the family owned business of AAA Typewriter and Office Equipment in Muskogee. When Ed's health declined she moved to the Claremore, OK, area in 2007 to be closer to him as he resided in the Claremore Veterans Center. She was a resident of the BrookField Assisted Living Center and Claremore Nursing Home toward the end of her life. She passed away peacefully at The Highlands of Owasso.
Fonzell was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Ann Daniels; her father, Joe Daniels and her husband of 68 years, Eddie Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Loreta Ann (Williams) Perry; grandchildren, Gregory C. Perry and his wife Denise R. Perry of Claremore, OK and Jean Ann (Perry) Ahrens of Fayetteville, NC; great grandchildren, Malia Ann Ahrens of Jasper, AL, Jarod Perry of Fayetteville, NC and Zach and Nic Perry of Claremore, OK; two half sisters, Barbara Rice and Madge Clogston of Joplin, MO and one half brother, Dean Derreberry of Baxter Springs, KS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
