Florene "Flo" Eubanks, 86, was born December 26, 1930 in Inola, OK to Thomas Otis and Jennie (Lasater) Byfield and peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Fort Gibson.
Flo met and later married Troy Clinton Eubanks on July 2, 1948. She was a resident of Fort Gibson for over 80 years where she worked at the Fort Gibson Public Schools in the Cafeteria as a cook. She attended Old Mission Church where she was a faithful member for 65 years. Cooking, sewing and attending church were her passions but her family was her greatest joy.
Florene was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Clinton Eubanks; her parents, daughters, Jeannie Eubanks Lee and Shirley Eubanks Cooper; five brothers and seven sisters.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Troy Eubanks and wife Brenda; daughter, Debby Daniels and husband Bill; granddaughters, Deborah Tew and husband Michael, Jamie Perez and husband Chris, Andrea Carruth and husband Michael; grandsons, Greg Eubanks and wife Angela, Eric Daniels and wife Melinda, and Ryan Daniels; great grandchildren, Addyson Eubanks, Garrett, Grace and Rebekah Daniels, Emma and Hazel Daniels; Liliana Jean Perez; and brother James Russell Byfield, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in the Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 5PM-7PM.
A service of celebration will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Community Gospel Center in Fort Gibson with grandson Greg Eubanks officiating.
Committal prayers and interment will follow in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Charlie McDowell, Jerry Honeycutt, Blake White, Derrek Smith and Billy Whitehead serving as casket bearers.
