Eva Mae Pittman, 85, of Eufaula, passed away on January 23, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Eva was born on January 21, 1933, in Bristow, Oklahoma the daughter of Roy and Lydia (Fitzgerald) Kennedy. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1951. On May 25, 1951, Eva married Glenn Earnest Pittman in Van Buren, Arkansas. They were happily married for sixty-four years. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northeastern State University in 1957. Eva worked as a teacher at Oktaha and Eufaula Dixie Elementary, totaling approximately thirty-five years. After her retirement, she did voluntary tutoring for Eufaula Public School System. Glenn and Eva toured Europe with a group of dear friends from Eufaula after their retirement. They would take a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada every year for the World Rodeo Championships. Eva was a member of the Eufaula United Methodist Church and participated in the UMW Organization. She was also a member of FLEAS.
Survivors include: her sister, Bonnie Berry, of Eufaula, OK; sister in-law, Charlotte Turner, of Eufaula, OK; her niece, Donna Mock, of Eufaula; nephew, Willard Berry, Jr. and wife, Yvonne, of Idaho Falls, ID; grand nieces and nephews: Kimberly, Holly, Heather, Heidi, David, Michael, and Josh; and a large host of Pittman nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn on January 26, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Kelley Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.hbmfuneralhome.com
