Edward Bargas, 71, of Fort Gibson, OK, was born March 3, 1946 in Gowen, OK, the son of Edward and Christina Bargas. Ed was called home on September 25, 2017.
Ed always had a smile on his face, that smile could light up a room. He was a very firm believer in the Lord. Ed was a special, one of a kind, devoted loving and caring family man. He married the love of his life, Elaina Berry, on December 17, 1965. To this union of 51 years was born four children, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Elaina Bargas of the home, daughter LeDeania Ledford and Monica Murr of Disney, OK, daughter Kimberly and Jamie Clinton of Park Hill, OK, son Berry and KayLynn Bargas of Fort Gibson, OK, son Kerry and Claudette Bargas of Lost City, OK. He was known as "Peep" to his ten grandchildren; grandsons, Scott and Julie Bargas, Austin Clinton and Jasmine Freese, Kerry Bargas, Daniel and Miranda Bargas, Chase Bargas, and Blake Clinton; granddaughters, Ashley and Trey Mitchell, Felicia and Brad McCormick, Lindsay and Eric Smith, Lauren Bargas; 15 Great grandchildren; brothers, Jon Bargas of Dallas, TX, Eugene and Rosetta Bargas of McAlester, OK, and a host of very special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Christina Bargas, sister, Mary Compelube, brother in law Jim Compelube, and sister in law Loretta Bargas.
Services for Ed will be held on Monday October 2, 2017 at 11 am at Life Point Church in Muskogee, OK, with Pastor Jack Manley and Pastor Don Reed officiating. Burial will be held at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Fort Gibson. Viewing will be Sunday from 1-7 pm at the funeral home. The family will be greeting friends from 4-6pm.
