Graveside services honoring the life of Doris "Maxyne" Kendrick will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at Bell Cemetery, Adair County, Oklahoma under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Maxyne was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 3, 1921 to Oliver Perry and Bess Helen Romine. She passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the age of 96.
Maxyne married Alfred Joseph Kendrick on September 1, 1940 and their union was blessed with two children, Sharon and Gary. Maxyne was a wonderful wife and mother. She adored her family and was the ultimate homemaker.
Maxyne was graduate of and later a volunteer for Muskogee Public Schools. She was also a member of the PTA. Maxyne was a creative person who enjoyed wood working and oil painting. She was also great cook and enjoyed creating special meals for her family.

Maxyne is survived by, Daughter, Sharon LaCroix and husband Ray, Broken Arrow, OK, Grandchildren, Lisa and Perry Totman, Barbara and David Foster, Susan Kendrick, Brian and Debbie Kendrick, Jason and Patty Kendrick, Peter Kendrick, Mike and Angie Tillery. Several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Maxyne was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary Kendrick, brother Jack and sisters Rita and Patsy.
