Dimie's Story

Dimie Orvetta Sue Cooper, 73, was born August 24, 1944 in Tahlequah, OK to James and Dimie (McLain) Cooper and greeted her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 15, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Orvetta attended Okay Schools and continued her education at Connors State College. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Minister and a Musician at the Valley View Church which she was a founding member. Orvetta was the outreach coordinator for children and the needy in her church. She directed many children plays and performances at Valley View Church. She enjoyed helping people, and leading them to Jesus Christ. Orvetta was a people person and loved life to the fullest.
Orvetta was preceded in death by her mother, and her daughter, Orlando Cooper.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jackie L McBroom and wife Cary of Great Falls, Montana; father, James A Cooper of Fort Gibson, OK; granddaughters, Jaci McBroom and Annabelle McBroom both of Great Falls, Montana; grandsons, Jayme McBroom of Great Falls, Montana and Trey Stach of Fort Gibson, OK; extended family and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Valley View Church in Fort Gibson with Reverend Don Rhyne officiating.
Committal prayers and interment will follow in the Park Hill Cemetery with Jackie McBroom, Darrel Ward, Barry Moon, Dowell Craft, Kevin Duke and Michael Mahan serving as casket bearers.
