Dennis Wayne "Denny" Goad, Sr., 59, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born July 23, 1958 to Avis H. Goad and Mary Elaine (Ivey) Goad in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He grew up in Muskogee and graduated from Muskogee High School.
Denny was a welder for the Pipe Fitter Union 351 for many years. He also raised registered hunting beagles, as it was one of his many passions. Denny enjoyed traveling, rabbit hunting, and many outdoor activities. He also enjoyed coaching his sons' baseball team when they were younger. Denny loved to host bar-b-que's at his home and invite all his friends and family. He loved spending as much time as he could with his family, but most of all Denny loved spending time with his best friend and dog, Cocoa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elaine Goad; son, Dennis Wayne Goad, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Elvin and Rhoda Goad; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Donna Ivey.
Denny is survived by his father, Avis Goad; sons, Dustin Goad and Kasey Goad of Muskogee, OK; sisters, Debbie McFarland and husband Rick, and Donna Wilson both of Muskogee, OK; nieces and nephews, Michael Gugello, Gina Gugello, Wendy Gugello, Jeremy Wilson, Josh Wilson, Nikki Wilson and Scott Spradley all of Muskogee, OK; many great-nieces and great-nephews; longtime friend and companion, Abner Miller; and numerous friends and family.
A celebration of Denny's life will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick McFarland, Richard Parris and Abner Miller.
