Cathy's Story

Cathy J. Hall was born September 26, 1953 in Henryetta, OK. She left this life to be with Jesus on November 29, 2016 after a short illness with leukemia. Cathy graduated from Henryetta High School in in 1971 and furthered her education at Okmulgee Technical School. She met and married Johnnie Lee Hall on January 10, 1975.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She retired after 30 years of service at J. C. Montgomery Veterans Administration Center as a voucher examiner. She enjoyed serving the veterans with their needs. Cathy was extremely patriotic, having come from a family of Navy men.
Cathy was a great gardener and cook, serving her family with delicious meals and special candies, especially her toffee, chocolate turtles, and peanut butter balls. She valued her immediate and extended family and enjoyed learning the traditional dishes of each family.
She blended into the Hall, Scott, and Koditek families and became close to her in-laws; Grannie, Jackie, Carolyn, and Susie. She was everything a perfect Mother and Nana should be, taking care of her children and grandsons with great joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Thomas Conatser; her father and mother-in-law, Hansel and Rucella Hall; sister-in-law, Carolyn Durossette; and nephews, Gary Conatser and Marty Scott.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Johnnie Lee; son, Jason Lee (Brooke); daughter, Katie (Taylor) Brown; grandsons, Cru Whitlow, Ryker Brown, Joel and Zack Hall; and granddaughter Jessa Leigh Brown to arrive January 2. She leaves behind three brothers, Charles (Barbara) Conatser, Fred (Ellen) Conatser, her twin brother, Billy Conatser; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Scott and Susie Stuff; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
Viewing will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday at Bradley Family Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service Thursday at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family has entrusted the services to Bradley Family Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to St. Joseph Church, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org), or United Services Organization (www.uso.org/Donate).
