The family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in the early 1930's where he attended Mountain View School. He worked alongside his family tending to the family farm until he left home in December of 1945 to join the Army Air Force.

After his service to his country, he worked for Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, California, installing and testing radar equipment on bombers. Mr. Napier returned to the westside of Muskogee, where he settled on his parents farmland in 1968. Upon his return, he opened NAPCO Machine Shop in 1973 and built airplane parts for military and civilian aviation. Later, he transitioned the business to NAPCO Automotive Sales and Service in 1994.
Carl married Dorine Violet "Lucky" Christenelli. Their union was blessed with two children. This union was later dissolved and he was remarried to Rachael Mae Beaird. Their union was blessed with five children.
On January 26, 2018, Carl Robert Napier, in his 90th year of life, was beckoned by the Lord to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings and a daughter Linda Sue.
