Bret's Story

On February 20, 1963, Bret Scott Hake was born in Wichita, Kansas. He was the son of Sarah L. (Sally) Trussell and husband Phil of Braggs and Gary Hake and wife Helen of Muskogee, Oklahoma. He attended public schools and furthered his education at several different institutes and graduated from Connors State College in 1988. He then proudly became a member of the United States Air Force where he received "Airman of the Year".
He worked as a Telecommunication Tech for Verizon in Tulsa and later for Sprint in Little Rock.
Bret was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah L. (Sally) Trussell; maternal grandparents, Bill and Ruby Hightower; paternal grandparents, Lyle and Marie Hake; and step-sister, Robyn Anderson.
Loved ones left behind to cherish his memories are his children, Candise Marie Hake Noon and husband Dave of Okmulgee, Maureen Hake of Philippines; parents, Gary Hake and wife Helen of Muskogee; step-dad, Phil Trussell of Braggs; siblings, Derek Hake and wife Gail, Jami Starr Anderson and companion Joey Chaffin, step-brother, Kevin McCoy and wife Angela and their children, step-sister, Rhonda McCoy and her children, all of Muskogee; uncle, Leon Hightower and wife Rebecca of Weatherford; nephews, Michael Hake of Muskogee, Alex Hake of Cottonwood, AZ, Gavin Hake of Muskogee, Lakota Miller of Braggs; niece, Kara Hake of Bella Vista, AR; many great nieces and nephews; 4 special cousins; and other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services celebrating Bret's life will be 10AM, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Derek Hake, Michael Hake, Gavin Hake, Kevin McCoy, Kevin Dishman, and Jami Anderson serving as pallbearers.
