Brenda Kay Clark, 58, lifetime resident of Muskogee, passed away early Saturday morning, July 22, 2017 at her home. She was born October 30, 1958 to Billy Junior and Blanche (Richerson) Hensley in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She grew up and attended Muskogee Public Schools.
Not long after finishing her education, Brenda went to work with Golden Rule Industries. She found her true passion working therehelping others. In 2015 Brenda was honored at the Oklahoma State Capital with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedicated service to developmentally disabled adults. She worked there for almost 38 years and will always be remembered for thinking of and treating her workers as part of her family. Brenda's hobbies included mowing her yard, spending time with her grandchildren and family, including her brother Will, and going fishing. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca "Becky" Broyles; her grandson, Aaron Jesse Clark; paternal grandparents, William and Edna Hensley; maternal grandparents, George and Lillie Richerson.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Jason Clark and wife Dana and Christopher Clark and wife Amber all of Muskogee; her parents, Bill and Blanche Hensley of Muskogee; her siblings, Barbara Hubbard and husband Carlton, "Brother" of Lost City, William "Will" Hensley and wife Cheryl of Muskogee, Belva Cothern of Porum; special nieces, Brandi Fisher and husband Clarence of Broken Arrow and Andrea McGowan and husband Mick of Hulbert; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and her Golden Rule Family.
Brenda's family also extends a heartfelt thanks to Taylor and Nikki Foster. Their kindness will always be remembered and appreciated.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK with Brother George Hubbard officiating.
