Beverly Sue Lane passed away at the age of 78, on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at The Springs in Muskogee. She was the wife of Paul Melvin Lane, Jr. She was born on March 19, 1939 in Muskogee to J.V. and Blanche Brown. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1957. At the time of her death she was retired, but had been a bookkeeper when she was employed at several different places.
She was a member of the Chandler Road Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the 4-H Club. She particularly enjoyed sewing bears with her ladies class for children at hospitals. She will be remembered for her love, faith, kindness and patience.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; sons, Doug Armstrong of Muskogee, Darel Armstrong and wife Kim of Muskogee, Duane Armstrong and wife Dana of Muskogee; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Harold Reed of Okay; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Judy Brown of Okay; step daughters, Michelle Lane and Melanie Howard of Fort Smith; step son, Daniel Lane of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nephews; nieces; cousins; and a host of friends. She was preceded by her parents; sister, Kathy; daughter, Angela Armstrong; sons, Danny Armstrong, David Armstrong and her first husband, Odell Armstrong.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Beverly Sue Lane will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Chandler Road Church of Christ with Mr. Jimie-Wray Mead officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 4-H Chapter in Muskogee, St Jude's Hospital or the Arthritis Foundation.
