Anselma's Story

Anselma Margaret Fabian, 100, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born December 11, 1916 in Adrian, Minnesota to Frederick M. and Dorothy (Lenz) Pass.
After completing high school, Anselma attended cosmetology school. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, raising her six children and caring for her family.
She married the love of her life, August Matthew Fabian, December 11, 1945 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Together they had six children and enjoyed many years of friendship, love, and marriage.
Anselma enjoyed crocheting and loved being outside tending to her yard. She was of the Catholic faith and a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had a helpful heart and had a passion for supporting the breast cancer walks.
She is preceded in death by her husband, August Fabian Jr.; daughter, Suzanne Acree; son, Gordon Fabian; parents, Frederick and Dorothy Pass; and four sisters.
Anselma is survived by her son Fred Fabian and wife Deborah of Muskogee, OK; daughter, Sandra Jones and husband Paul Jones of Muskogee, OK; son, Thomas Fabian of Muskogee, OK; daughter, Deborah Moore of Muskogee, OK; son-in-law, Charles Acree of Muskogee, OK; daughter-in-law, Joyce Fabian; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many other friends who will miss her dearly.
A family visitation will be 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.
A celebration of Anselma's life will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma with Father Richard Cristler celebrant. Interment will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Rusty Jones, Eric Fabian, Dusty Jones, Brad Moore, Bryan Fabian, Randy Wicks, Michael Fabian, and Tracy Hoos serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Scott Fabian, Natalie Walker, and Kristi Hoos.
