Services for Ada Evelyn, 88, of Boynton, will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Boynton Assembly of God with Reverend Dean Moore and Reverend Cecil Guthrie officiating.
Ada peacefully went to be with the Lord from the Haskell Care Center, Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Ada was born in Muskogee, October 27, 1928, to Felix and Eva Cartwright. She married her beloved husband, Alfred "Toby" Herriman October 27, 1948. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She worked at Okmulgee Hospital as a dietician for 21 years. She was a faithful member of Boynton Assembly of God for over 60 years, where she taught Sunday school, led singing, was a woman's ministry leader, cleaned the church and served as treasurer. She was an awesome mother, wife and prayer warrior for her Lord.
Ada is survived by her children, Ronnie Herriman, Loretta Lawson, Leo and wife Freda, Bobby and wife Melody, Allen and wife Marilyn; 15 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Donald Perryman and wife Betty; sisters, Lorene Moffett, Faye and husband Ray Crumpler; and a host of friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby; parents; son, Donnie; brother, Selton Cartwright; sisters, Arnedis Godfrey, Nora Lee Hamby, Beulah Martin, Lois Perryman; great grandson, Toby; and son-in-law Larry Lawson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Lawson, Bryan Lawson, Rodney Herriman, Chris Herriman, Toby Herriman, and George Miller. Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Miller, Kevin Miller, Joe Miller, Harold Conrad, Bruce Mooney, Roy Rains and Howard Turner.
Special gratitude goes to Benicia Guthrie from Compasses Hospice of Muskogee and all the nurses at the Haskell Care Center.
